What was played:Pokemon
Who played it: a bunch of first and second graders from my daughter’s school, and a couple of their moms.
Why: Because Pokemon is a huge thing for 2nd graders at our elementary. Though, they just banned all toys/games from being brought to school so the kids need to find another place to play. Add this to the fact that most of the kids don’t actually know how to play the TCG.
+1 rolls: Gotta catch…at least enough for a deck. I was happy to be able to fill out some decks with enough cards to make the kids decks playable. I don’t know how long I will be able to do that. But at least for now, my daughter’s friends have playable Pokemon decks.
What was played: Pathfinder TCG
Who played it: The normal Monday group
Why: Because it’s Monday!
+1 rolls: Sometimes this game feels like Pokemon (to continue with the catch ’em all theme). Though, we don’t have to deal with basic items anymore. We didn’t realize we could have been banishing basic cards as we ran across them. So now, we are playing catch up .
What was played: World of Warcraft
Who played it: The hubby and myself
Why: to blow off some steam
+1 rolls: We thought we would delve into the world of dungeons/raids(In the Pokemon spirit of experiencing all aspects of the game and “catching” one of everything). My husband thought I should sign up to be healer. That turned out to be a huge mistake. I have never done a dungeon before. I didn’t know any of the other people in our group. They gave me crap for not knowing what I was doing instead of helping me understand what I was supposed to do. Then I died and couldn’t get back into the dungeon. Then the game crashed. I haven’t played since.
