When VIP was in kindergarten, the outcome of her school pictures was about as bad as you can get: Her chin was in her neck, she was grimacing, her hair was wonky, and her sweater was folded weird. I didn’t want to continue to spend money for school pictures when I knew I could take a decent photo myself (not great mind you, but decent).
So, I wait until after Halloween, get the kids dressed up, and do something. Sometimes it is just a family activity as simple as board games and sometimes (like today) we went somewhere after church.
We lucked out. Rain and wind were in the forecast all day today. When we reached our destination of Officer’s Row in Vancouver, Washington it was overcast and crisp, but it was still and dry. I can never hold on to these until the holidays, and this year is no exception. Enjoy.
