Local Library Hosts A Creature Feature

With VIP deciding she is going to spend her summer reading, we are partaking in both the elementary school and local library reading programs. She’ll be in Kindergarten this fall, and likes the part of her day where I ask her to read a book to her 18-month-old brother MVP.

When we received the information about the reading program at the local library, we were also informed about a Creature Feature with snakes, lizards, geckos, and alligators that would be held today at the library. VIP was scared there would be a rattle snake at the event and didn’t really want to go.

Once we were there with all the other kids and parents, VIP was excited. My son was excited for awhile, but quickly changed his focus from cool animals to wanting dinner. We enjoyed the show. VIP learned about how to be safe around snakes, and was able to hold a milk snake.
